"On December 3rd the TSSG, WIT hosted the 2nd Annual Future Internet Forum Event in the Digital Hub.
This year the forum explored issues surrounding Identity, Privacy, Security & Trust in the Future Internet.
Minister Conor Lenihan T.D opened this years event, and the Key note was given by Dr. Jacques Bus Head of Unit F.5 DG-INFSO, European Commission, who provided findings on the recently published RISEPTIS report, titled ‘Trust in the Information Society’.
This event provided a unique opportunity for an interesting and lively discussion, whilst also promoting Ireland's Scientific and Technological leadership within the Irish and European research communities.
We hope to continue to build momentum behind this event and to increase our membership of the Irish Future Internet Forum going forward in 2010.
Many thanks to all those who participated in making this years event a great success."
